Synopsis (from DVD)
Walls imprison the men unjustly sentenced to work as miners at a brutal labor camp. Yet an even greater barrier holds them captive: fear of the camp's ancient Indian curse. But Caine knows no such fear.

More Details:
While inside a forced gulag, Caine teaches his companion in the 'oven' to meditate to overcome harsh hot temperatures during the day and frigid cold at night, as they are forced to spend four days inside of it for failing to 'cooperate'. The other inmates are impressed when they see the two men come out seemingly unfazed. Caine's lack of superstition makes him out as a problem to the prison guards, as this is the only way to control the inmates.

Interesting quotes:
"Superstition is like a magnet. It pulls you in the direction of your belief." - Master Po

"Were you afraid Caine? Is that why you did it?" - asked to Caine after he backed down from a strike where he and the other men would have been shot.
"To cast away life without true purpose, is this not wrong?" - Caine

One of my all-time favorites. The flashback scene with the boiling acid is great. Watching Master Po navigate the beam is wonderful. And when the two men emerge from the box looking perfectly content, that's a great scene!

Master Po was wicked, lying to the poor young Caine, and taking delight in fooling him! I guess it is one way to teach a lesson though.
